Can I make my Sim fall OUT of love in the Sims 2?

I made two sims and they're married. But my sim fell in love with 3 other sims apart from his wife. I want him to fall out of love with them, but not lose their friendship because I need them for him to advance in his career. Is this possible?Can I make my Sim fall OUT of love in the Sims 2?
yeah, just have them not talk or anything for a while, or to do it faster, get in a fight....if theyre relationship is 100 you gotta not talk for a while, or nag about something, and keep doing things that annoys them, and then push and shove. theyll hate each other, but sometimes cry in the most random moments so be careful with fighting cuz it can get annoying.Can I make my Sim fall OUT of love in the Sims 2?
If you avoid them for awhile, no phone calls, no emails, then their relationship will fall, they should fall out of love. But it wont destroy their friendship.

I use the Insimenator, using the Quick Relations hack and make them best friends instead of being in love. But a lot of people don't like hacks, that's just what I do personally.
